Junior Referee Program
The referee program is coordinated by the club’s referee coordinator. It is open to any person over the age of 13 who has a reasonable level of fitness and an interest in learning to referee football matches. The program is based on the potential referee attending a level 5 course, followed by appointments to assistant referee duties and subsequently to referee duties at each level of junior football while being mentored by the referee coordinator.
The club will pay for your course. However, if you do not assist in 10 games for the club within a reasonable time frame the club reserves the right to bill you for the cost of the course.
Darwin Referees Standing Committee (DRSC)
All qualified referees need to be registered with this organisation. The annual registration fee for referees over the age of 18 is $100. This includes a new shirt. Registration is free for all junior refs (i.e. under 18). Peter Hermann is the president of the DRSC. Contact him for further information. 0448 253395
